NICK BELTCHEV

Nick Beltchev is a tuba performer and educator based out of Austin, Texas. He is currently an adjunct instructor of tuba and euphonium at Texas A&M- Kingsville. In addition to this, he is a member of the five-time Grammy nominated Dallas Winds. Nick is also a co-founder of the Tuba and Euphonium Charity Series, an organization dedicated to providing accessible educational materials and events while raising money for worthy causes. Nick holds degrees from the University of Texas at Austin (DMA), the University of Georgia (MM), and the University of Michigan (BM). His principal teachers were Charles Villarrubia, David Zerkel, Fritz Kaenzig, Don Little, and Dr. Roy Couch.

Mi-Young Kimis a collaborative pianist based out of Santa Barbara,California. She has enjoyed a wide-ranging and rewarding career as a performer. She has served on the staff at the University of California- Santa Barbara, the University of Texas at Austin, the Hartt School of Music, Staff Pianist of the Choir School of Hartford, Music Director of St. George’s Episcopal Church (Austin, TX), and St. George’s Episcopal Church (Bolton, CT).

 

Her playing has also been recognized with numerous accolades. She placed second in the Korea-USA Foundation of Gifted Music Competition (2013), third place in the Korean Pianist Association Piano Competition (2013), and received honorable mention in the Haneum Music Competition (2013). 

 

Mi-Young is currently pursuing a DMA degree at the University of California- Santa Barbara, where she studies with Robert Koenig. She has also received degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, the Hartt School, and Chung-Ang University. Her primary instructors include Dr. Collette Valentine, Rick Rowley, Dr. Miguel Campinho, and David Westfall.
